How Story Bloom handles your photos and stories

What we collect

• Your account information, such as your email address and sign-in details.
• The photos, names, story details, and style choices you upload to make a story.
• The pages, images, cover files, and print files Story Bloom creates for you.
• Order and token records when you buy tokens, unlock a story, or place a print order. For print orders, we also collect the shipping address you supply at checkout.

How we use it

• To generate your story, images, cover, and print-ready files.
• To save your work so you can come back and keep editing.
• To process token purchases, story unlocks, and printed-book orders.
• To provide support, fix problems, and keep the service safe.

Images and permissions

You must have the right to upload and use every image you share with Story Bloom. If an image shows a child, you must be the parent, guardian, or otherwise allowed to use that image. We store your confirmation with the story record.

Private by default

Story Bloom is built for personal keepsake stories. We do not run a public gallery or a community feed for uploaded stories. Your stories are meant for you, the people you share them with, and the providers needed to generate and print them.

Who helps us provide the service

• OpenAI — generates the manuscript text from the character and story details you supply.
• fal.ai — generates illustrations and trains the per-character model used to keep your character consistent across pages.
• Stripe — processes token purchases and reprint payments. We do not see or store full card numbers.
• Lulu Press — prints and ships your book. We send Lulu your interior PDF, cover PDF, and shipping address when you place a print order.
• Google Firebase — hosting, authentication, database, and file storage. Reference photos and generated files live in Google Cloud Storage.

Each provider receives only the data needed to do its work. Story Bloom is the customer of record with all of them; we do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Storage and deletion

• Active stories stay in your account until you delete them.
• Free stories (started but not unlocked) may be auto-removed after a period of inactivity to manage storage costs. Your reference photos go with them.
• Unlocked storiesstay indefinitely — once you've paid for a story we keep it editable for reprints and revisions.
• Reference photos are kept with the story for the life of the story so the trained character model can be retrained or extended later. They are not shared outside the providers listed above.
• We keep purchase records, print-order records, and order history longer for accounting, fraud prevention, and customer support.
